One Year Already!!

I can't believe its already been a year already!!  As Jill put it, "It seems like yesterday that we were picking ticks off each other." This past year as been great.  Lee and I have some fantastic times that started with Roller Coasters in the rain! We have both evolved into our rolls as husband and wife, granted I still can't cook. We both are looking forward to what the rest of our lives have in store!!

Thank You Facebook

Last week I received a "friend request" from a college friend. I had been looking for her on Facebook, but had never had any luck. I was so excited that she found me. After a few minutes of conversation, I learned that she lives one town over! I couldn't believe it! Last night I had the pleasure of meeting her 2 beautiful children and having dinner with them. I am truly blessed to finally reconnect with her. I look forward to getting the opportunity to hang out with this great family again! Thanks Facebook for reconnecting old friends!!!

Mother's Day Weekend 2010

Well, this weekend has been fun! We started EARLY Saturday morning by having a much need yard sale, with Lee's Mom, at our house. We did well and glad to have all that stuff gone!

Sunday, Mother's Day, Lee had to work so he was unable to attend the events of the day. I went with Lee's family to church at Hopewell Baptist as I normally do. Our Vocal Praise was a a young girl singing "You are So Good" to her mother. It was a surprise to her mother and had almost everyone in church in tears.

After church, we ate a great lunch at the Depot in Springfield.

Now I am hanging out at my parent's house, mainly just with the dogs. Dad and Dennis went to Lowe's and Mom is cleaning up the mess they made upstairs. But I am enjoying the present Dennis got Dad for his birthday this week, Jimmy Buffett's Scenes You Know by Heart."

The Outside!

Bear has been and inside cat for about a year and a half now, so when ever I can I like to open the windows and let him look out. He loves it!

JIMMY BUFFETT 2010

On Saturday we went to the Jimmy Buffett concert at Bridgestone Arena. The show was great! There were so many people dressed up, including me, my dad and mom. Before the concert we enjoyed dinner at Baily's, We all are looking forward to the next time Buffett brings his tour to town.

Buffett 2010 - He called it the "Flood Tour 2010" because of the weather we are having.

Fins to the Left, Fins to the Right!

Trying to get home from the concert turned out to be an adventure! We ended up going through water up to our hood and had to turn around twice once we got the the Goodlettsville area. When we finally made it home, we found that a pipe had broken in our basement and it had over a foot of water in it. We were able to turn the water off and got the pump working. Dad was able to fix the pipe today, thank goodness!

Creative!!

Sometimes I get in moods to be creative. Today I expressed my mood by making Sophie and bed for her crate and making Lee Peanut Butter Balls (his favorite!)

SWEET TREAT!!
1 cup sugar
1 cup corn syrup
1 cup peanut butter
6 cups corn flakes

Melt sugar and corn syrup on stove, remove from heat and add peanut butter. After all are mixed and melted, add 6 cups corn flakes. Spray hands with cooking spray and make unto balls (may have to spray hands a few times). Allow to cool and ENJOY!
